CHARLESTON, SC, USA – Madison Keys’ stellar week in Charleston included some major wins on the court – she beat Sloane Stephens and Caroline Wozniacki en route to the green clay title – but she scored one very big win off of it.
In recognition of the American’s anti-bullying efforts, the Volvo Car Open honored Keys with the “Player Who Makes a Difference” award.

Back in 2016, Keys became an ambassador for FearlesslyGIRL, an international organization that encourages girls and young women to be kinder to each other on and off line through school assemblies, on-campus clubs and more.
In addition to the Award, the Volvo Car Open also donated USD $10,000 to FearlesslyGIRL in Keys’ honor.
