Cape Town – Proteas batsman David Miller is set to make his debut for the Hobart Hurricanes in this week’s Big Bash League (BBL) opening fixtures.
The Hurricanes get their BBL tournament underway on Friday against the Sydney Sixers at Traeger Park in Alice Springs.
According to their official website, Miller arrived in Hobart on Monday and met with his new team-mates at training on Tuesday.
Miller had a decent Mzansi Super League (MSL) campaign this year as he made 184 runs in his six games at an average of 61.33 for the Durban Heat.
The Heat finished fourth on the MSL standings and missed the playoffs by a single point.
Meanwhile, Proteas fast bowler Dale Steyn’s BBL debut has been delayed due to a side strain he suffered in the MSL.
The 2019/20 BBL will run from December 17, 2019 to February 8, 2020.
