Amanda Serrano defeats Erika Cruz, becomes featherweight undisputed champion

Amanda Serrano puts her three featherweight world titles on the line against fellow champion Erika Cruz in a fight for the undisputed championship at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Serrano (43-2-1, 30 KOs) has won world titles in seven different weight classes, but has never been undisputed. A victory will earn her that distinction and also set up a rematch against Katie Taylor, who defeated Serrano in a very close fight last April to defend her lightweight undisputed championship.

Cruz (15-1, 3 KOs) hasn’t lost a fight in almost seven years. She dominated Jelena Mrdjenovich in April 2021 to win the title and has defended the belt twice, including a one-sided victory over Mrdjenovich in their September’s rematch.

In the co-main event, unified junior lightweight champion Alycia Baumgardner (13-1, 7 KOs), takes on Elhem Mekhaled (15-1, 3 KOs) in a fight where the vacant WBA belt is also on the line. The winner, will be the undisputed 130-pound champion.
