MATTEO BERRETTINI ON THE EVOLUTION OF HIS GAME STYLE – “I think that growing up with my coach, we figured out that the weapons would have been the serve and the forehand and then you also shape around for example the fitness. I like to play one, maximum three shots and that’s what I do in the gym, I like to be explosive so we work on that.”
EMILIO NAVA ON WHAT HE LEARNT IN HIS DEFEAT TO ANDY MURRAY – “Well first of all I get experience off him. I’ll definitely watch this match back, look at him more than what I was doing in the match, you know see how he was responding to all those winners and the unforced errors, just to see what he was doing, because it’s only learning from those great players, so I’ll just take experience from this match, a lot of it.”
BRANDON HOLT ON WHAT HE’S LEARNT FROM HAVING TRACY AUSTIN AS HIS PARENT – “She’s very driven, she’s passionate, she does things one hundred per cent, those are the things I take away, not so much strokes or anything like that but more-so attitude, a winning attitude, the attitude of a champion, she’s very competitive, so all those things I take away.”
CARLOS ALCARAZ ON EXPERIENCING PRESSURE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS CAREER – “It’s new for me, living this new thing of not being able to handle the pressure or feel the pressure as much as I did in Montreal and of course my team and my family, everyone is helping me to not worry about it and just keep going with a smile and a lot of energy.”
ANDREY RUBLEV ON HIS SUPERSTITIONS – “I’m afraid to say something good, because when I say something good I prove that I always do opposite, so I’m better to say that everything is going well, keep working and we’ll see what happens. I’m the guy whose better not to say, just focus to work hard and that’s it.”
