ATP Tennis Podcast: Post-Wimbledon Review

This week on the ATP Tennis Podcast…

JILL CRAYBAS ON CARLOS ALCARAZ’S WIMBLEDON TITLE – “We’ve talked about how versatile he is for one so young and just the complete player that he is. We see brilliance from him in almost every match and you sort of wonder how he can get better from here. I also think how quickly he adapts and how easy it happens. It’s incredible how he adapts so quickly.”

LUCIE AHL ON WHAT CARLOS ALCARAZ WILL DO NEXT – “The sky is the limit isn’t it? He’s quickly understood how to perform on grass. He’s learnt from what happened at Roland Garros against Djokovic, when the occasion got too much for him and he cramped, and this is going to give him even more confidence and belief.”

JILL CRAYBAS ON WHETHER DEFEAT WILL AFFECT NOVAK DJOKOVIC – “I think he’ll be fine. He’s one of the best and he knows it, and nothing will stop him from trying to add to those records that he already has. I think he’ll still be as motivated as anybody.”

LUCIE AHL ON HOW NOVAK DJOKOVIC WILL BE RELAXED GOING FOR GRAND SLAM NUMBER 24 AT THE US OPEN – “It would have been interesting had he been going for the calendar Grand Slam. I think this defeat will hurt a lot but potentially it might free him up a bit going into the US Open.”

LUCIE AHL ON NEAL SKUPSKI’S WIMBLEDON DOUBLES TITLE PROVIDING A BOOST TO BRITISH TENNIS – “It will be a massive boost and it hasn’t happened for a while, so what Neal has done is incredible. In the singles we probably were a little disappointing, so for British tennis, especially here at Wimbledon, that was a massive boost.”

PLUS…the team pick their highlights of the tournament and discuss the performances of Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, Christopher Eubanks, Holger Rune, Jiri Lehecka, Daniel Elahi Galan, Roman Safiullin and Alexander Bublik.

– Show presented by Chris Bowers
