Celtics vs. Grizzlies: How to watch NBA online, TV channel, live stream info, game time

Through 3 Quarters

The Boston Celtics are giving their home crowd exactly what it was hoping to see. After three quarters it’s looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the Memphis Grizzlies as Boston lead 83-72.

Center Robert Williams III has led the way so far for the Celtics, as he has dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds along with three blocks. This makes it three consecutive games in which Williams III has had at least ten rebounds.

Memphis has been relying on the performance of point guard Ja Morant, who has 24 points and six assists.

Memphis has lost 71% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this year, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Who’s Playing

Memphis @ Boston

Current Records: Memphis 43-20; Boston 37-27

What to Know

The Boston Celtics will take on the Memphis Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday at TD Garden. If the matchup is anything like Memphis’ 132-126 win from their previous meeting in March of last year, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.

The Celtics netted a 107-98 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the half to overcome a 65-51 deficit. It was another big night for Boston’s small forward Jayson Tatum, who had 33 points and seven assists in addition to eight boards.

Meanwhile, you can’t lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Grizz’s strategy against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday. The Grizzlies had enough points to win and then some against San Antonio, taking their game 118-105. Point guard Ja Morant took over for Memphis, finishing with 52 points (a whopping 44% of their total) along with seven rebounds.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Boston is expected to win a tight contest. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with the Celtics, who are 31-32-1 against the spread.

Boston is now 37-27 while the Grizz sits at 43-20. Two stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Boston enters the matchup with 6.06 blocked shots per game on average, good for second best in the league. But Memphis is even better: they rank first in the league when it comes to blocked shots per game, with 6.4 on average. Points in the paint might be hard to come by.
