DePaul vs. St. John’s: How to watch live stream, TV channel, NCAAB start time

Who’s Playing

St. John’s @ DePaul

Current Records: St. John’s 15-13; DePaul 13-14

What to Know

The St. John’s Red Storm have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. The Red Storm and the DePaul Blue Demons will face off in a Big East battle at 5 p.m. ET Sunday at Wintrust Arena. DePaul should still be feeling good after a win, while St. John’s will be looking to regain their footing.

St. John’s was close but no cigar this past Wednesday as they fell 81-78 to the Creighton Bluejays. One thing holding St. John’s back was the mediocre play of guard Julian Champagnie, who did not have his best game: he played for 34 minutes but put up just eight points on 3-for-16 shooting.

Speaking of close games: this past Thursday DePaul sidestepped the Georgetown Hoyas for a 68-65 victory. The Blue Demons’ forward Yor Anei filled up the stat sheet, picking up 11 points along with seven boards and five steals. Anei’s performance made up for a slower game against the Seton Hall Pirates two weeks ago.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Red Storm are expected to win a tight contest. The odds have been favorable for them against the spread on the road this season, even if it’s been tough sledding overall. They are 7-2 ATS in away games but only 13-13-1 all in all.

St. John’s is now 15-13 while DePaul sits at 13-14. Two stats to keep an eye on: St. John’s comes into the contest boasting the ninth most blocked shots per game in college basketball at 5.8. The Blue Demons are not quite as good, but they are no chumps, either: they rank 19th in college basketball when it comes to blocked shots per game, with five on average. Points in the paint might be hard to come by.
