Five things to know about the Pelicans on Jan. 6, 2020

1)      New Orleans plays just its third home game since Dec. 18 tonight, facing the Utah Jazz at 7 p.m. Tickets are available here, as the Pelicans try to win three in a row in the Smoothie King Center, dating back to Dec. 28-29 victories over Indiana and Houston.

2)      Jrue Holiday is questionable to play against the Jazz.

3)      The Pelicans have won six of their last eight overall, one element of what’s been a very positive stretch lately, in more ways than one.

4)      Week 12 of the NBA schedule for New Orleans consists of two opponents with winning records (vs. Utah, at Boston), along with a pair of teams well under .500 (vs. Chicago, at New York). The Pelicans will try to improve upon their 2-9 record against the East on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, the latter two dates a Northeast back-to-back in “Garden” arenas.

5)      In case you missed it, New Orleans won Saturday on JJ Redick’s go-ahead layup with 1.1 seconds left.
