Get ready for a Big East battle as the Creighton Bluejays and the Georgetown Hoyas will face off at noon ET on Saturday at Capital One Arena. The teams split their matchups last year, with Creighton winning the first 63-48 and Georgetown taking the second 73-48.
The Bluejays sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over the Butler Bulldogs on Tuesday. Forward Arthur Kaluma (16 points) and forward Ryan Hawkins (15 points) were the top scorers for Creighton.
Meanwhile, Georgetown came up short against the DePaul Blue Demons on Wednesday, falling 82-74. One thing holding Georgetown back was the mediocre play of guard Dante Harris, who did not have his best game: he finished with only four points on 2-for-10 shooting in his 31 minutes on the court.
Creighton suffered a grim 73-48 defeat to the Hoyas when the two teams previously met in March of last year. The loss knocked the Bluejays out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at Georgetown with a vengeful fire.
