Hornets vs. Cavaliers: How to watch online, live stream info, game time, TV channel

Through 3 Quarters

The point spread is against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but thus far the points are on their side. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Charlotte Hornets 76-65 three quarters in.

Cleveland has been led by center Jarrett Allen, who so far has dropped a double-double on 24 points and 20 rebounds. The top scorers for Charlotte have been shooting guard Terry Rozier (17 points) and point guard LaMelo Ball (15 points). LaMelo Ball does need to be careful, however, as he is in foul trouble with four.

This is the least points the Hornets have had yet this year going into the fourth quarter.

What to Know

The Cleveland Cavaliers will hit the road for the second straight game as they head to Spectrum Center at 7 p.m. ET Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’

On Wednesday, Cleveland lost to the Houston Rockets on the road by a decisive 115-104 margin. Cleveland’s defeat came about despite a quality game from power forward Evan Mobley, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. Mobley’s performance made up for a slower contest against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday. Mobley’s points were the most he has had all season.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 113-107 to the Boston Celtics. Point guard LaMelo Ball put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 38 points and nine assists along with six boards.

The Cavaliers are expected to lose this next one by 6. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 18-8 against the spread when expected to lose.

Cleveland is now 31-21 while the Hornets sit at 28-24. A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Cleveland comes into the matchup boasting the fewest points allowed per game in the league at 102.5. But Charlotte ranks first in the league when it comes to points per game, with 114.3 on average. We’ll see which of these strengths — offense or defense — will win out.
