The Denver Nuggets are staying on the road Friday to face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. ET March 18 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The Nuggets will be strutting in after a victory while Cleveland will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Denver strolled past the Washington Wizards with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the contest 127-109. Denver’s center Nikola Jokic did his thing and almost dropped a triple-double on 29 points, 13 boards, and eight assists. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which Jokic has had at least ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Cleveland had to settle for a 118-114 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. A silver lining for Cleveland was the play of point guard Darius Garland, who had 22 points and seven assists in addition to five rebounds.
The Nuggets are expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Oklahoma City Thunder March 2 easily too and instead slipped up with a 119-107. In other words, don’t count the Cavaliers out just yet.
