How to watch Celtics vs. Hawks: TV channel, NBA live stream info, start time

Through 2 Quarters

Although the Atlanta Hawks were the underdogs at tipoff, they’ve since taken control of the game. They are way out in front at halftime with a 65-51 lead over the Boston Celtics.

Atlanta has been led by point guard Trae Young, who so far has 22 points and three assists. A double-double would be Young’s third in a row. One thing to keep an eye out for is Onyeka Okongwu’s foul situation as he currently sits at three.

Small forward Jayson Tatum has led the way so far for Boston, as he has 17 points and three assists along with two rebounds.

The Celtics haven’t been much of a second-half team this year, losing 73% of the time when they were down at the break.

What to Know

The Boston Celtics will be returning home after a three-game road trip. They will take on the Atlanta Hawks at 7:30 p.m. ET Tuesday at TD Garden. Atlanta should still be riding high after a big win, while the Celtics will be looking to get back in the win column.

Boston has to be aching after a bruising 128-107 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. Shooting guard Jaylen Brown put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 23 points and eight assists.

Meanwhile, the Hawks made easy work of the Toronto Raptors this past Saturday and carried off a 127-100 victory. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Atlanta had established a 104-74 advantage. Their point guard Trae Young was on fire, posting a double-double on 41 points and 11 assists.

Boston is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Detroit Pistons Feb. 16 easily too and instead slipped up with a 112-111. In other words, don’t count Atlanta out just yet.
