How to watch Heat vs. Rockets: Live stream, TV channel, start time for Monday’s NBA game

Through 3 Quarters

Only one more quarter stands between the Miami Heat and the win they were favored to collect going into this night. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Houston Rockets 90-78.

Small forward Jimmy Butler has led the way so far for Miami, as he has 21 points and four assists in addition to seven rebounds. One thing to keep an eye out for is Bam Adebayo’s foul situation as he currently sits at four.

Houston has enjoyed the tag-team combination of point guard Kevin Porter and shooting guard Jalen Green. The former has 19 points, while the latter has 18 points.

the Rockets have lost 93% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this season, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Who’s Playing

Houston @ Miami

Current Records: Houston 16-48; Miami 43-22

What to Know

The Houston Rockets haven’t won a contest against the Miami Heat since Nov. 27 of 2019, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Monday. Houston might have tired legs after a matchup yesterday as they head on the road against Miami at 7:30 p.m. ET March 7 at FTX Arena. The Rockets aren’t favored, but they just beat the odds in their last game, so don’t count them out.

Houston didn’t have too much trouble with the Memphis Grizzlies at home on Sunday as they won 123-112. Houston’s center Christian Wood was one of the most active players for the squad, posting a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wood has had at least ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Miami had enough points to win and then some against the Philadelphia 76ers this past Saturday, taking their matchup 99-82. Small forward Jimmy Butler (21 points) and point guard Tyler Herro (21 points) were the top scorers for Miami.

Their wins bumped the Rockets to 16-48 and the Heat to 43-22. Allowing an average of 117.86 points per game, Houston hasn’t exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. We’ll see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their upcoming contest.
