How to watch Hornets vs. Hawks: Live stream, TV channel, start time for Wednesday’s NBA game

Through 3 Quarters

Down five at the end of last quarter, the Charlotte Hornets have now snagged the lead. a victory is still up for grabs for either squad after three quarters, but they are up 86-85 over the Atlanta Hawks

The Hornets have enjoyed the tag-team combination of center Montrezl Harrell and power forward Miles Bridges. The former has 18 points along with four rebounds, while the latter has 18 points and four assists in addition to four boards and two blocks. One thing to keep an eye out for is LaMelo Ball’s foul situation as he currently sits at four.

Atlanta has been relying on the performance of center Clint Capela, who has dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards.

Atlanta hasn’t lost 87% of the games in which they were down heading into the final period this season, so a win here would be refreshing.

What to Know

After a three-game homestand, the Atlanta Hawks will be on the road. The Hawks and the Charlotte Hornets will face off in a Southeast Division battle at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday at Spectrum Center. Keep an eye on the score for this one: these two teams posted some lofty points totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet.

Atlanta beat the Portland Trail Blazers 122-113 on Monday. Atlanta’s point guard Trae Young was on fire, posting a double-double on 46 points and 12 dimes in addition to six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Charlotte strolled past the Oklahoma City Thunder with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 134-116. Shooting guard Terry Rozier and power forward Miles Bridges were among the main playmakers for Charlotte as the former had 30 points along with six boards and the latter shot 5-for-6 from downtown and finished with 27 points and six assists.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Atlanta is expected to win a tight contest. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past six games, so buyers beware.

The wins brought the Hawks up to 34-34 and the Hornets to 34-35. Atlanta is 17-16 after wins this season, Charlotte 18-15.
