How to watch Hornets vs. Spurs: Live stream, TV channel, start time for Saturday’s NBA game

Through 3 Quarters

Both the Charlotte Hornets and the San Antonio Spurs have kept the scorekeepers busy with 196 between them three quarters in. a win is still up for grabs for either team, but Charlotte is up 99-97

The Hornets have been riding high on the performance of shooting guard Terry Rozier, who has shot 5-for-7 from downtown and has recorded 26 points and six assists. Small forward Keldon Johnson has led the way so far for San Antonio, as he has 33 points along with eight rebounds.

The Spurs haven’t lost 100% of the games in which they were down heading into the final period this season, so a victory here would be refreshing.

What to Know

After two games on the road, the Charlotte Hornets are heading back home. They will take on the San Antonio Spurs at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Spectrum Center after having had a few days off. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Charlotte has to be feeling especially confident now that the spread is in their favor.

You’re bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that’s exactly how it played out for the Hornets on Wednesday. They made easy work of the Cleveland Cavaliers and carried off a 119-98 victory. It was another big night for Charlotte’s shooting guard Terry Rozier, who shot 5-for-9 from downtown and finished with 29 points, seven assists and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but San Antonio had to settle for a 115-112 defeat against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday. Despite the loss, San Antonio had strong showings from point guard Dejounte Murray, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 boards along with seven dimes, and small forward Lonnie Walker IV, who shot 5-for-11 from beyond the arc and finished with 30 points.

Charlotte’s win brought them up to 31-33 while the Spurs’ defeat pulled them down to 24-39. A pair of numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: The Hornets rank first in the league when it comes to points per game, with 114.1 on average. Less enviably, San Antonio is stumbling into the game with the fourth most points allowed per game in the league, having given up 112.8 on average. They might struggle to break 100.
