How to watch Jazz vs. Rockets: Live stream, TV channel, start time for Wednesday’s NBA game

Through 3 Quarters

Down five at the end of last quarter, the Houston Rockets have now snagged the lead. a victory is still up for grabs for either squad after three quarters, but they are up 83-81 over the Utah Jazz

Houston hasn’t had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to 13 points or fewer. Utah has been led by center Rudy Gobert, who so far has 19 points and four assists along with seven rebounds and two blocks. A double-double would be Gobert’s 17th in a row.

The Jazz haven’t lost 91% of the games in which they were down heading into the final period this season, so a win here would be refreshing.

Current Records: Houston 13-32; Utah 29-15

What to Know

The Houston Rockets haven’t won a game against the Utah Jazz since Feb. 22 of 2020, but they’ll be looking to end the drought on Wednesday. Houston will take on Utah at 9 p.m. ET at Vivint Arena after having had a few days off. The Rockets aren’t expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn’t stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.

Houston didn’t have too much breathing room in their contest with the Sacramento Kings on Sunday, but they still walked away with a 118-112 win. Houston can attribute much of their success to power forward Christian Wood, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds, and point guard Kevin Porter, who shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and finished with 23 points and seven dimes.

Meanwhile, Utah was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Monday as they fell 101-95 to the Los Angeles Lakers. A silver lining for the Jazz was the play of center Rudy Gobert, who posted a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards along with three blocks. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which Gobert has had at least ten rebounds.

Houston’s victory lifted them to 13-32 while Utah’s defeat dropped them down to 29-15. Allowing an average of 116.67 points per game, the Rockets haven’t exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. We’ll see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their upcoming matchup.
