What to Know
The Sacramento Kings are 2-11 against the Milwaukee Bucks since November of 2015, but they’ll have a chance to close the gap a little bit Wednesday. The Kings’ homestand continues as they prepare to take on Milwaukee at 10 p.m. ET March 16 at Golden 1 Center. Sacramento isn’t favored, but they just beat the odds in their last contest, so don’t count them out.
Sacramento was able to grind out a solid win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday, winning 112-103. It was another big night for Sacramento’s point guard De’Aaron Fox, who had 34 points and six assists along with six rebounds. Fox’s night made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 32 points.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee didn’t have too much breathing room in their game with the Utah Jazz on Monday, but they still walked away with a 117-111 victory. Point guard Jrue Holiday and power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo were among the main playmakers for the Bucks as the former had 29 points and seven assists in addition to five steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 30 points and 15 boards. The matchup made it Antetokounmpo’s fourth in a row with at least 30 points.
Their wins bumped the Kings to 25-45 and Milwaukee to 43-26. Allowing an average of 115.29 points per game, Sacramento hasn’t exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. We’ll see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their upcoming contest.
