What to Know

The Atlanta Hawks’ road trip will continue as they head to American Airlines Center at 6 p.m. ET Sunday to face off against the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas will be strutting in after a victory while the Hawks will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Atlanta ended up a good deal behind the Toronto Raptors when they played this past Friday, losing 125-114. The losing side was boosted by point guard Trae Young, who posted a double-double on 22 points and 13 dimes along with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks picked up a 107-98 win over the Philadelphia 76ers this past Friday. It was another big night for Dallas’ point guard Luka Doncic, who dropped a triple-double on 33 points, 15 assists, and 13 boards. The contest made it Doncic’s fourth in a row with at least 30 points.

Atlanta is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Houston Rockets Dec. 13 easily too and instead slipped up with a 132-126. In other words, don’t count Dallas out just yet.
