How to watch Pelicans vs. Spurs: Live stream, TV channel, start time for Saturday’s NBA game

Who’s Playing

San Antonio @ New Orleans

Current Records: San Antonio 21-35; New Orleans 22-33

What to Know

The New Orleans Pelicans haven’t won a game against the San Antonio Spurs since Dec. 27 of 2020, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Saturday. The Pelicans’ homestand continues as they prepare to take on San Antonio at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 12 at Smoothie King Center. The Spurs will be strutting in after a win while New Orleans will be stumbling in from a loss.

On Thursday, New Orleans lost to the Miami Heat at home by a decisive 112-97 margin. One thing holding New Orleans back was the mediocre play of small forward Brandon Ingram, who did not have his best game: he picked up five fouls and turned the ball over five times en route to a 15-point finish.

Meanwhile, San Antonio had enough points to win and then some against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, taking their contest 136-121. San Antonio’s point guard Dejounte Murray did his thing and posted a triple-double on 32 points, 15 assists, and ten rebounds. Murray now has 11 triple-doubles this year.

The Pelicans are the favorite in this one, with an expected 4.5-point margin of victory. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (9-4), so they might be worth a quick bet.

New Orleans is now 22-33 while San Antonio sits at 21-35. A couple stats to keep an eye on: New Orleans enters the matchup with 20.3 fouls drawn per game on average, good for third best in the league. But San Antonio ranks second in the league when it comes to fouls per game, with only 17.9 on average. The ref’s whistle might dictate the flow of action in this one.
