How to watch Rockets vs. Spurs: NBA live stream info, TV channel, time, game odds

Through 3 Quarters

Only one more quarter stands between the San Antonio Spurs and the win they were favored to collect going into this night. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Houston Rockets 105-74.

The Spurs have enjoyed the tag-team combination of point guard Dejounte Murray and center Jakob Poeltl. The former has posted a double-double on 19 points and ten assists in addition to five boards, while the latter has 18 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. This is the fourth consecutive matchup in which Murray has had at least ten assists. Murray is in foul trouble with four.

Point guard Kevin Porter (16 points), center Christian Wood (15 points), and small forward Jae’Sean Tate (14 points) have been the top scorers for Houston. Jae’Sean Tate has also picked up four fouls, though.

Halftime deficits have spelled doom for the Rockets, who haves lost 90% of the games in which they were down going into the the fourth quarter.

What to Know

The Houston Rockets will be returning home after a five-game road trip. They will take on the San Antonio Spurs at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Toyota Center after having had a few days off. Allowing an average of 116.3 points per game, the Rockets have been asleep on the defensive side of the ball and will need to wake up before the game.

It was close but no cigar for Houston as they fell 105-103 to the Golden State Warriors last week. Shooting guard Jalen Green had a rough night: he finished with only three points on 0-for-11 shooting in his 25 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, San Antonio was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Sunday as they fell 115-109 to the Philadelphia 76ers. A silver lining for San Antonio was the play of center Jakob Poeltl, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards in addition to four blocks. Poeltl has also now had at least three blocks in his past three games.

Houston is expected to lose this next one by 4.5. They are currently three-for-three against the spread in their most recent games, however, a trend bettors might want to take into account.

Houston came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spurs in the teams’ previous meeting earlier this month, sneaking past 128-124. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or does San Antonio have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
