Who’s Playing

Washington @ Southern California

Regular Season Records: Washington 17-14; Southern California 25-6

What to Know

The Washington Huskies haven’t won a game against the #21 Southern California Trojans since Jan. 5 of 2020, but they’ll be looking to end the drought on Thursday. Washington and the Trojans are set to clash at 11:30 p.m. ET March 10 at T-Mobile Arena in the second round of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament. The Huskies should still be feeling good after a victory, while USC will be looking to get back in the win column.

Washington earned some postseason bragging rights after a successful outing on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 82-70 win over the Utah Utes. Four players on Washington scored in the double digits: guard Terrell Brown Jr. (22), guard Jamal Bey (19), guard Cole Bajema (16), and forward Emmitt Matthews Jr. (10).

Meanwhile, USC came up short against the UCLA Bruins on Saturday, falling 75-68. Southern California’s defeat came about despite a quality game from forward Isaiah Mobley, who had 20 points in addition to eight rebounds.

The Huskies are expected to lose this next one by 6.5. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a three-game streak of ATS wins.

Two stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Washington ranks 26th in college basketball when it comes to takeaways, with 15.5 on average. On the other end of the spectrum, the Trojans are stumbling into the contest with the second fewest takeaways in college basketball, having accrued only 10.1 on average.
