The VMI Keydets will face off against the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks in a playoff matchup at Ocean Center at noon ET on Sunday. Both teams are looking to take out their frustrations on one another after having lost close ones recently.
VMI was close but no cigar two weeks ago as they fell 68-66 to the Wofford Terriers. Despite the loss, the Keydets had strong showings from guard Trey Bonham, who had 17 points along with seven boards, and center Jake Stephens, who shot 5-for-11 from beyond the arc and finished with 23 points and five rebounds.
Speaking of close games: it was close but no cigar for UNC-Wilmington as they fell 59-55 to the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens last Tuesday. Guard Mike Okauru had a pretty forgettable game, playing for 31 minutes with and four turnovers.
