What to Know
The Utah Jazz will take on the Golden State Warriors at 8:30 p.m. ET Saturday at Chase Center. The Jazz will be strutting in after a win while Golden State will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Utah didn’t have too much trouble with the Los Angeles Lakers at home on Thursday as they won 122-109. Utah’s center Rudy Gobert did his thing and dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Gobert has had at least 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for the Dubs as they fell 107-103 to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. Shooting guard Klay Thompson had a rough night: he finished with 13 points on 5-for-21 shooting in his 33 minutes on the court.
Barring any buzzer beaters, Utah is expected to win a tight contest. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the team has let down bettors in their past six games.
Everything went Utah’s way against the Dubs in the teams’ previous meeting in February as they made off with a 111-85 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jazz since the squad won’t have home-court advantage. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
