Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr.: How to watch and stream the fight

Jake Paul returns to the ring to face former sparring partner Hasim Rahman Jr., the son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, in the main event of a Showtime PPV at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday, Aug. 6.

Paul made his professional boxing debut in January 2020 with a first-round TKO victory over fellow YouTuber Ali Eson Gib. His second fight was a second-round one-punch KO of former NBA star Nate Robinson. He then defeated former Bellator and One Championship champion Ben Askren with a first-round TKO in April 2021 before taking on former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley twice.

Paul (5-0, 4 KOs), 25, of Cleveland, defeated Woodley (0-2) by sixth-round KO in December, a rematch of Paul’s split-decision win over Woodley four months before. Paul was scheduled to face Tyson Fury’s half-brother, Tommy Fury, but Tommy couldn’t secure a visa to travel to the U.S. from the U.K. and Rahman got the call.

“He’s going to get beat up by a singer, a musician, a seashell collector, an amateur, a Disney boy, a YouTuber, I’m all of these things,” Paul said during a news conference to officially announce the fight on July 13. “I beat him in sparring and he knows that too. We have the footage.”

Rahman (12-1, 6 KOs), 31, of Baltimore, Maryland, won his first 12 professional fights before suffering a fifth-round TKO loss to James Morrison back in April. Unlike Paul, Rahman fought 21 times as an amateur before going pro.

“There’s nothing Jake Paul does that concerns me,” Rahman said during an open work out in Las Vegas on Wednesday. “I’m just super confident going into this fight. I feel like this guy is not at my level. He made a mistake picking me. … I respect his work ethic, but come Aug. 6 I look to expose him for the fraud he is.”
