Power forward Kristaps Porzingis (12 points) has been the top scorer for Washington. Kristaps Porzingis has also picked up four fouls, though.

the Wizards have lost 85% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this year, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Washington @ New York

Current Records: Washington 29-39; New York 29-40

What to Know

The New York Knicks have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Washington Wizards at 7:30 p.m. ET March 18 at Madison Square Garden. New York will be strutting in after a victory while Washington will be stumbling in from a loss.

You’re bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that’s exactly how it played out for the Knicks on Wednesday. They blew past the Portland Trail Blazers 128-98. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point New York had established a 94-74 advantage. Small forward R.J. Barrett was the offensive standout of the game for New York, shooting 5-for-11 from beyond the arc and finishing with 31 points and five dimes.

Meanwhile, Washington lost to the Denver Nuggets at home by a decisive 127-109 margin. The Wizards were down 104-81 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. Washington’s defeat came about despite a quality game from small forward Deni Avdija, who had 19 points along with seven rebounds.

The Knicks are the favorite in this one, with an expected 6-point margin of victory. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a seven-game streak of ATS wins.

New York’s win brought them up to 29-40 while Washington’s loss pulled them down to 29-39. New York is 10-18 after wins this year, and the Wizards are 17-21 after losses.
