Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis last teamed up at the 2022 Nitto ATP Finals.

Isner/Sock face Purcell/Thompson

Australians Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios will face third seeds Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury in a popcorn first-round doubles clash at Wimbledon following Friday’s draw.

The fan-favourite pairing won its home major last season at the Australian Open and also teamed at the US Open and the Nitto ATP Finals. Now they will take their high-powered partnership to the London lawns, seeking a second major crown.

Kokkinakis and Kyrgios will face a tough opening test against Ram and Salisbury, who have won three major titles as a team.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Petros Tsitsipas are teaming. The Greeks open against #NextGenATP Frenchmen Luca Van Assche and Arthur Fils and could play Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos or 2019 champions Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the second round.

The brothers, who are seeking their first win together at a major, competed at the All England Club in 2021 and also played in the main draw of the 2021 Australian Open and the 2022 US Open.

Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell will not defend their title in London together. Both Australians are in the draw but with different partners. Ebden teams with India’s Rohan Bopanna, while Purcell will play with countryman Jordan Thompson. Ebden and Bopanna open against Guillermo Duran and Tomas Martin Etcheverry, while Purcell and Thompson meet American wild cards John Isner and Jack Sock. Isner and Sock have won three ATP Masters 1000 crowns together.

Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski, who share the No. 1 spot in the Pepperstone ATP Doubles Rankings, start against Aslan Karatsev and Daniel Altmaier. The top seeds could face Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul in the second round. Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek are the second seeds. The Croatian-American pair plays Luke Saville and Alexander Bublik in the first round.

Men’s doubles matches this year at Wimbledon will be three-setters for the first time, in place of the traditional best-of-five format.
