What to Know

The Orlando Magic have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the Philadelphia 76ers and are hoping to record their first victory since Dec. 27 of 2019. Orlando will stay at home another game and welcome Philadelphia at 6 p.m. ET March 13 at Amway Center. The Magic should still be riding high after a win, while the Sixers will be looking to regain their footing.

Orlando beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 118-110 this past Friday. Orlando’s center Mo Bamba was one of the most active players for the squad, shooting 5-for-8 from downtown and finishing with a double-double on 27 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia suffered a grim 129-100 defeat to the Brooklyn Nets this past Thursday. Philadelphia was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 72-51. Point guard James Harden wasn’t much of a difference maker for the Sixers; The Beard finished with 11 points on 3-for-17 shooting and turned the ball over four times in his 28 minutes on the court.

The Magic have to know they’ll be fighting an uphill battle given the 11 point spread they are up against. They are currently three-for-three against the spread in their most recent games, however, a trend bettors might want to take into account.
