What to Know

After a three-game homestand, the Indiana Hoosiers will be on the road. IU and the Maryland Terrapins will face off in a Big Ten battle at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Xfinity Center. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

The Hoosiers had enough points to win and then some against the Penn State Nittany Lions on Wednesday, taking their game 74-57. It was another big night for IU’s forward Trayce Jackson-Davis, who had 15 points in addition to six boards and four blocks.

Meanwhile, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Maryland proved too difficult a challenge. Maryland beat RU 68-60. The Terrapins’ success was spearheaded by the efforts of guard Eric Ayala, who shot 5-for-9 from downtown and finished with 22 points and eight rebounds, and guard Fatts Russell, who shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and finished with 23 points.

The Hoosiers were able to grind out a solid victory over Maryland when the two teams previously met in January of last year, winning 63-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for IU since the squad won’t have home-court advantage. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
