The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines face the No. 15 Iowa Hawkeyes for the Big Ten title. For Michigan, there’s a lot more than conference glory on the line in Indianapolis.
The Wolverines are a win away from their first berth in the College Football Playoff. At 11-1, Michigan currently has an 85% chance of making the playoff, according to ESPN’s College Football Playoff Predictor. By beating Iowa, that percentage increases to 90%, per ESPN Stats & Information research. With a loss, Michigan’s chances drop to 13%.
In the first half, the Wolverines pulled out all stops against the Hawkeyes. Their offense came alive early on, orchestrating a trick play for a touchdown and running the ball efficiently. Michigan scored on plays of 75 and 67 yards. Iowa’s defense is known to be stout, but it has looked anything but in the first 30 minutes of the game — outside of a tipped interception by Jack Campbell.
Here are some of the best moments and plays from the Big Ten title game:
Everything is “All”-right for Michigan
Erick All only needed one hand to haul in McNamara’s first touchdown pass of the game.
Michigan’s offensive duo strikes again as another short touchdown for Hassan Haskins was set up by a sure-handed Luke Schoonmaker catch.

It’s only the first quarter, but the Wolverines aren’t short on splash plays. Roman Wilson‘s 75-yard touchdown was the result of a little trickery from Jim Harbaugh & Co.
