McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Saturday

For Saturday, McClure is high on Washington Wizards guard Jordan McRae ($5,700 on FanDuel, $5,700 on DraftKings). The veteran journeyman has been in and out of the lineup throughout the season, but he’s been given the opportunity for big minutes since Christmas and has made the most of it.

McRae scored 15 points in 15 minutes on Dec. 26 in a loss to the Pistons and has played at least 29 minutes in every game since. Over the course of those four games, McRae is averaging 24.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game. On Friday, McRae poured in 35 points and returned nearly 9x on DraftKings. He’s now returned at least 7x in four of his last five games and he should have another opportunity to provide a big return on Saturday against the Nuggets.

Part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy Saturday also includes rostering Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday, ($8,300 on FanDuel, $7,900 on DraftKings), who is averaging 19.6 points and 6.5 assists per game this season. The 29-year-old has provided a consistent scoring presence throughout the season for a Pelicans squad that is just trying to survive until Zion Williamson (knee) gets back.

Holiday has scored at least 20 points in 17 of his 33 games this year but he’s proven capable of providing passing and defensive contributions for NBA DFS owner as well. Holiday has had at least five assists in 24 games, at least one steal in 23 games and at least one blocked shot in 17 games.

McClure is also targeting another player who has a dream matchup on Saturday. The stars are aligning for him to return 50, even 60 points on DraftKings and FanDuel. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing.
