Panama and Qatar got the Gold Cup knockout stage festivities started with high energy! Both teams were trading chances until Édgar Bárcenas’ towering header in the 19th minute opened up the score. Qatar got some quality chances but the score ultimately remained 1-0 going into halftime. Heading into second half Panama, placed the pressure on Qatar and didn’t look back. Headlined by a hat trick from Ismael Díaz, Panama cruised to a 4-0 victory over Qatar. Panama will face the winner of USMNT/Canada.
