The Portland Trail Blazers’ road trip will continue as they head to Smoothie King Center at 8 p.m. ET Thursday to face off against the New Orleans Pelicans. New Orleans should still be feeling good after a victory, while the Trail Blazers will be looking to right the ship.

Portland had lost two consecutive heartbreakers to the Oklahoma City Thunder, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. Portland fell just short of Oklahoma City by a score of 98-94. A well-balanced attack led the Pelicans over the Sacramento Kings every single quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. New Orleans captured a comfortable 123-109 win. Center Jaxson Hayes and shooting guard CJ McCollum were among the main playmakers for New Orleans as the former posted a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds and the latter had 23 points and five assists.

Portland is the clear underdog, so they’re hoping it’s the size of the fight that determines this one. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the squad has let down bettors in their past three games.

Portland is now 27-52 while New Orleans sits at 35-44.
