Pistons vs. Cavaliers: How to watch live stream, TV channel, NBA start time

Who’s Playing

Cleveland @ Detroit

Current Records: Cleveland 35-23; Detroit 13-45

What to Know

The Detroit Pistons are home Thursday, but with the point spread against them by 6.5 points, it might not be quite the welcoming they would prefer. After a few days’ rest for both teams, they and the Cleveland Cavaliers will meet up at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 24 at Little Caesars Arena. Detroit isn’t expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn’t stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.

The Pistons escaped with a win last week against the Boston Celtics by the margin of a single free throw, 112-111. Detroit can attribute much of their success to small forward Saddiq Bey, who shot 5-for-8 from downtown and finished with a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards in addition to six dimes.

Meanwhile, Cleveland came up short against the Atlanta Hawks last Tuesday, falling 124-116. Shooting guard Caris LeVert had a pretty forgettable game, playing for 28 minutes but putting up just nine points on 4-for-12 shooting.

Detroit’s victory lifted them to an irreparable 13-45 while Cleveland’s defeat dropped them down to 35-23. If Detroit want to win, they will need to focus on stopping Cleveland’s power forward Evan Mobley, who posted a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds, and point guard Darius Garland, who had 30 points and eight assists. We’ll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
