The Houston Rockets have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the Cleveland Cavaliers and are hoping to record their first win since Dec. 11 of 2019. Houston’s homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cleveland at 8 p.m. ET Feb. 2 at Toyota Center. The Rockets need to shore up a defense that is allowing 116.94 points per game.
Houston received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 122-108 to the Golden State Warriors. A silver lining for Houston was the play of center Christian Wood, who shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and finished with a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a close one, but on Monday Cleveland sidestepped the New Orleans Pelicans for a 93-90 victory. Point guard Brandon Goodwin (21 points) was the top scorer for the Cavaliers.
