Rockets vs. Timberwolves: How to watch online, live stream info, game time, TV channel

Through 3 Quarters

Both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets have kept the scorekeepers busy with 211 between them three quarters in. It’s looking more and more like Minnesota’s high-powered offense is just too much for Houston as the Timberwolves lead 116-95.

Small forward Anthony Edwards has led the way so far for Minnesota, as he has 31 points and five assists along with four boards. One thing to keep an eye out for is Karl-Anthony Towns’ foul situation as he currently sits at four.

Houston has enjoyed the tag-team combination of shooting guard Jalen Green and center Alperen Sengun. The former has 25 points and four assists, while the latter has posted a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds in addition to four assists. Green has also picked up four fouls, though.

Halftime deficits have spelled doom for Houston, who have lost 91% of the games in which they were down going into the the fourth quarter.

What to Know

The Houston Rockets haven’t won a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves since March 27 of last year, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Sunday. The Rockets’ homestand continues as they prepare to take on Minnesota at 7 p.m. ET April 3 at Toyota Center. Allowing an average of 117.79 points per game, Houston has been asleep on the defensive side of the ball and will need to wake up before the game.

Houston was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap this past Friday as they fell 122-117 to the Sacramento Kings. Houston was up 41-26 at the end of the first quarter but couldn’t hold on to the lead. Despite the loss, they had strong showings from point guard Kevin Porter, who posted a double-double on 27 points and 11 assists, and shooting guard Jalen Green, who shot 6-for-14 from downtown and finished with 33 points and eight boards. The contest made it Green’s third in a row with at least 30 points. Green’s points were the most he has had all year.

Meanwhile, Minnesota didn’t have too much breathing room in their game with the Denver Nuggets this past Friday, but they still walked away with a 136-130 win. The Timberwolves’ center Karl-Anthony Towns did his thing and had 32 points along with nine rebounds.

The Rockets are now 20-58 while Minnesota sits at 44-34. Minnesota is 27-16 after wins this season, and Houston is 12-45 after losses.
