Rockets vs. Wizards: How to watch NBA online, TV channel, live stream info, game time

Through 3 Quarters

The Washington Wizards are just one quarter away from delivering their fans the win they’ve been expecting. a victory is still up for grabs for either team, but they are up 83-80 over the Houston Rockets

Washington has been led by power forward Kristaps Porzingis, who so far has posted a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds in addition to five blocks. Houston has been relying on the performance of center Christian Wood, who has 24 points along with nine boards.

This is the first time the Wizards have been ahead going into the fourth quarter in the past seven games.

Who’s Playing

Washington @ Houston

Current Records: Washington 30-40; Houston 17-54

What to Know

The Washington Wizards will take on the Houston Rockets at 8 p.m. ET Monday at Toyota Center. The Wizards will be strutting in after a win while Houston will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Washington was able to grind out a solid victory over the Los Angeles Lakers this past Saturday, winning 127-119. Washington can attribute much of their success to shooting guard Tomas Satoransky, who had 16 points and six assists, and power forward Kristaps Porzingis, who had 27 points and five assists. Satoransky hadn’t helped his team much against the New York Knicks this past Friday, so this was a nice turnaround for him. Satoransky’s points were the most he has had all season.

Meanwhile, Houston suffered a grim 122-98 defeat to the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday. Houston was surely aware of their 12.5-point disadvantage in the point spread, but the foreknowledge did nothing to prevent the result. One thing holding the Rockets back was the mediocre play of shooting guard Jalen Green, who did not have his best game: he played for 26 minutes but put up just eight points on 3-for-13 shooting.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Wizards are expected to win a tight contest. The smart bettors have been the ones to keep their money on Washington’s opponents whenever they hit the road.

Houston’s loss took them down to 17-54 while Washington’s win pulled them up to 30-40. Allowing an average of 118.46 points per game, Houston hasn’t exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. We’ll see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their upcoming game.
