San Francisco and Saint Mary’s will face off in a West Coast battle at 10 p.m. ET at War Memorial Gymnasium. Both teams are strolling into their matchup after big wins in their previous games.
The Dons made easy work of the Pepperdine Waves on Saturday and carried off a 71-45 win. San Francisco got double-digit scores from four players: guard Julian Rishwain (20), forward Yauhen Massalski (12), guard Jamaree Bouyea (11), and guard Gabe Stefanini (10).
Meanwhile, Saint Mary’s simply couldn’t be stopped on Saturday, as they easily beat the Loyola Marymount Lions on the road 83-51. Saint Mary’s’ success was spearheaded by the efforts of guard Logan Johnson, who had 16 points and five assists, and guard Alex Ducas, who had 22 points.
Barring any buzzer beaters, San Francisco is expected to win a tight contest. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a two-game streak of ATS wins.
Their wins bumped the Dons to 16-4 and the Gaels to 15-4. With both San Francisco and Saint Mary’s swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
