This will be the first meeting between 25-year-old Caroline Garcia and 19-year-old Dayana Yastremska.

Garcia has an excellent 11-2 main-draw win-loss record at Strasbourg, and won the title in 2016 by defeating Mirjana Lucic-Baroni in the final. She is seeking her seventh WTA singles title.

Yastremska aims for her third WTA singles title. She is 2-0 in finals, having won them both in the last eight months. She claimed the trophy in Hong Kong at the end of last year, and picked up a second title in Hua Hin earlier this season.

Daria Gavrilova and Ellen Perez were alternates into the doubles draw, but have gone all the way into the final. Gavrilova seeks her second career WTA doubles title, while this is the first-ever WTA final for Perez.

Duan Yingying and Han Xinyun are looking for their second WTA doubles title as a pairing, having won the 2017 WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai together. Duan has two career WTA doubles titles, while Han has won three.
