Who’s Playing

Miami @ Minnesota

Current Records: Miami 12-6; Minnesota 8-9

What to Know

The Minnesota Timberwolves will take on the Miami Heat at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday at Target Center. The Timberwolves are out to keep their three-game home win streak alive.

Minnesota can’t say they have nothing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving week. They captured a comfortable 110-96 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday. Minnesota’s center Karl-Anthony Towns did his thing and posted a double-double on 28 points and ten boards.

As for Miami, they have more to be thankful for after their matchup against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. Miami came out on top against Detroit by a score of 100-92. Miami’s point guard Tyler Herro was one of the most active players for the team, picking up 31 points in addition to eight rebounds.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Timberwolves are expected to win a tight contest. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a five-game streak of ATS wins.

Minnesota is now 8-9 while the Heat sit at 12-6. Two numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: Minnesota is stumbling into the game with the most fouls per game in the league, having accrued 22.6 on average. Miami has experienced some struggles of their own as they are second worst in the league in fouls per game, with 20.8 on average. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
