De Gea denies final United offer

With Paris Saint-Germain preparing a £60 million bid for David De Gea, the Manchester United goalkeeper has turned down a final contract offer from his current club, the Sun reports.

The Spaniard is reportedly demanding £350,000 per week to continue playing for the Red Devils, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side aren’t willing to offer him that sum of money.

PSG, on the other hand, are less fussed. However, should the Ligue 1 champions choose to wait until the end of the 2019-20 season, De Gea’s contract at Old Trafford will expire and the French club could snap him up on a free transfer.

A summer of significant overhaul is expected at Manchester United, with plenty of outgoings and incomings a result of the club failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Atletico join Trippier tug-of-war

Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kieran Trippier has got some of Europe’s top clubs fighting for his signature, as the Mirror reports that Atletico Madrid has joined the race to sign him.

It had previously been reported that Napoli were front runners in the deal, however with 34-year old full-back Juanfran departing Atletico, the Spanish side are also in need of reinforcements.

Wherever he ends up, Trippier’s future won’t be sorted out until after his side have played Liverpool in the small matter of the Champions League final on June 1.

Conte the key for Inter-Lukaku deal

Inter Milan are expected to act on their interest in Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku when Antonio Conte takes the reins this weekend, the Times reports.

The pair have never worked with one another, although Conte did try to sign Lukaku when he was in charge of Chelsea back in 2017. Now, it looks as though their fates could be intertwined, although Juventus and AC Milan are also thought to be keen on bringing the Belgian to Serie A.

It’s a league he has spoken highly of in the past, saying: “Serie A is a dream, it would really be a dream. I hope I can play there at some point.”

It’s thought that United won’t turn down an offer of £75m for Lukaku.

Tap-ins

Moussa Marega is on the radar of Wolves, as Nuno Espirito Santo plots a £30m move for the Mali international, the Mirror reports. Marega has scored 21 goals for Porto this season, and while Wolves didn’t struggle to find the net in 2018-19, they will have the added pressure of Europa League fixtures to contend with next season.

– West Ham striker Lucas Perez, on loan from Arsenal, is being lined up for a £2m transfer to Alaves, according to the Sun. Perez had just six goals to his name across 19 appearances during the 2018-19 season for the Hammers.
