What to Know
After a three-game homestand, the Fordham Rams will be on the road. The Rams and the Davidson Wildcats will face off in an Atlantic 10 battle at 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday at Belk Arena. Fordham hasn’t won a contest against Davidson since Jan. 11 of 2017, but they’ll be looking to end the drought.
Fordham didn’t have too much breathing room in their matchup with the La Salle Explorers on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 60-54 win. Fordham’s forward Chuba Ohams was one of the most active players for the team, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Ohams has had at least 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Davidson took their game against the Duquesne Dukes on Wednesday by a conclusive 74-50 score. Davidson’s forward Hyunjung Lee did his thing and shot 6-for-9 from downtown and finished with 27 points.
The Rams have to know they’ll be fighting an uphill battle given the 13 point spread they are up against. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a four-game streak of ATS wins.
The wins brought Fordham up to 14-13 and the Wildcats to 24-4. A couple offensive stats to keep an eye on: Fordham has only been able to knock down 39.90% percent of their shots, which is the fifth lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. Davidson’s offense has more to brag about, as they they come into the matchup boasting the 11th highest field goal percentage in college basketball at 48.70%. We’ll see if their 8.80% advantage translates to a win.
