Watch Hawks vs. Spurs: How to live stream, TV channel, start time for Friday’s NBA game

Through 3 Quarters

Fans are certainly getting their money’s worth as the San Antonio Spurs and the Atlanta Hawks have combined for 196 points three quarters in. Three quarters in and San Antonio’s offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating Atlanta 106-90.

The Spurs have been riding high on the performance of point guard Dejounte Murray, who has almost posted a triple-double on 28 points, 14 dimes, and nine rebounds. The Hawks have enjoyed the tag-team combination of power forward Danilo Gallinari and shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic. The former has 16 points in addition to eight boards, while the latter has 18 points along with five boards. Those points put Bogdanovic near his season high of 20.

Atlanta has lost 88% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this season, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Current Records: San Antonio 20-35; Atlanta 26-28

What to Know

The Atlanta Hawks will take on the San Antonio Spurs at 7:30 p.m. ET Friday at State Farm Arena after having had a few days off. The Hawks will be strutting in after a win while San Antonio will be stumbling in from a loss.

Atlanta made easy work of the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday and carried off a 133-112 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 76-50. Atlanta’s point guard Trae Young did his thing and shot 6-for-9 from downtown and finished with a double-double on 34 points and 11 assists. That’s the third consecutive matchup in which Young has had at least 11 assists.

Meanwhile, San Antonio lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road by a decisive 105-92 margin. Small forward Doug McDermott had a rough night: he played for 27 minutes but put up just four points on 2-for-10 shooting.

Atlanta is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Houston Rockets Dec. 13 easily too and instead slipped up with a 132-126. In other words, don’t count the Spurs out just yet.
