Watch Lakers vs. Warriors: How to live stream, TV channel, start time for Saturday’s NBA game

Who’s Playing

Golden State @ Los Angeles

Current Records: Golden State 43-20; Los Angeles 27-35

What to Know

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors will face off in a Pacific Division clash at 8:30 p.m. ET March 5 at Crypto.com Arena. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’

The Lakers’ and the Los Angeles Clippers’ contest on Thursday was up for grabs at halftime, but Los Angeles was thoroughly outmatched 66-48 in the second half. Los Angeles suffered a grim 132-111 defeat to the Clippers. Los Angeles was down 106-81 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. A silver lining for them was the play of small forward LeBron James, who had 26 points along with eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Golden State came up short against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, falling 122-113. The Dubs’ loss shouldn’t obscure the performances of shooting guard Jordan Poole, who had 23 points, and point guard Stephen Curry, who had 21 points and nine assists in addition to five boards.

The Lakers are expected to lose this next one by 6. Now might not be the best time to take Los Angeles against the spread since they’ve let down bettors for the past four consecutive games.

The losses put Los Angeles at 27-35 and the Warriors at 43-20. Two stats to keep an eye on: Los Angeles has allowed their opponents an average of 8.5 steals per game, the third most in the league. To make matters even worse for the Lakers, Golden State ranks second in the league when it comes to steals per game, with 9.38 on average. In other words, Los Angeles will need to work extra hard to take care of the ball.
