Watch Mavericks vs. Rockets: How to live stream, TV channel, start time for Wednesday’s NBA game

Through 3 Quarters

Down one at the end of last quarter, the Dallas Mavericks have now snagged the lead. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Houston Rockets 82-72 three quarters in.

Dallas has enjoyed the tag-team combination of point guard Jalen Brunson and point guard Spencer Dinwiddie. The former has 28 points along with four rebounds, while the latter has 19 points and six assists. Those points put Brunson near his season high of 31. One thing to keep an eye out for is Maxi Kleber’s foul situation as he currently sits at four.

Houston hasn’t had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to 12 points or fewer.

they have lost 90% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this year, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Who’s Playing

Houston @ Dallas

Current Records: Houston 18-54; Dallas 44-28

What to Know

The Houston Rockets haven’t won a contest against the Dallas Mavericks since April 7 of last year, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Wednesday. The Rockets and Dallas will face off in a Southwest Division battle at 8:30 p.m. ET at American Airlines Center. Houston needs to shore up a defense that is allowing 118.17 points per matchup.

While not quite a landslide, the game between Houston and the Washington Wizards on Monday was still a pretty decisive one as Houston wrapped it up with a 115-97 victory at home. The win came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 39-26 deficit. Houston’s center Christian Wood was on fire, shooting 8-for-9 from downtown and finishing with a double-double on 39 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, it was a close one, but on Monday the Mavericks sidestepped the Minnesota Timberwolves for a 110-108 win. Having forecasted a close victory for Dallas, the oddsmakers were right on the money. They can attribute much of their success to center Dwight Powell, who had 22 points along with eight rebounds. Powell’s performance made up for a slower contest against the Charlotte Hornets this past Saturday.

Their wins bumped the Rockets to 18-54 and Dallas to 44-28. We’ll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Houston and Dallas clash.
