An MAAC battle is on tap between the Niagara Purple Eagles and the Marist Red Foxes at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday at Gallagher Center. Niagara is out to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
The Purple Eagles made easy work of the Siena Saints on Thursday and carried off a 74-52 win. The oddsmakers were on Niagara’s side, but they didn’t give the squad enough credit as the margin was unexpectedly wide.
Meanwhile, Marist ended up a good deal behind the Canisius Golden Griffins when they played on Thursday, losing 78-67.
Niagara’s victory brought them up to 13-15 while Marist’s defeat pulled them down to 14-14. Niagara is 5-7 after wins this year, and the Red Foxes are 7-6 after losses.
