Through 3 Quarters

Only one more quarter stands between the Memphis Grizzlies and the win they were favored to collect going into this night. It’s looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the Oklahoma City Thunder as Memphis lead 97-79.

Power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (16 points) has been the top scorer for the Grizzlies. The top scorer for Oklahoma City has been shooting guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (20 points). Shai Gilgeous-Alexander does need to be careful, however, as he is in foul trouble with four.

Oklahoma City has lost 87% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this year, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Who’s Playing

Memphis @ Oklahoma City

Current Records: Memphis 46-22; Oklahoma City 20-46

What to Know

The Memphis Grizzlies have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7 p.m. ET Sunday at Paycom Center. Memphis should still be riding high after a win, while Oklahoma City will be looking to regain their footing.

The Grizzlies came out on top in a nail-biter against the New York Knicks this past Friday, sneaking past 118-114. Memphis’ point guard Ja Morant did his thing and had 37 points and eight assists.

Meanwhile, the oddsmakers predicted a rough game for Oklahoma City this past Wednesday, and boy were they were right. Things couldn’t have gone much worse for them as they lost 132-102 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Oklahoma City was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 74-47. Shooting guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a pretty forgettable game, finishing with only eight points on 2-for-15 shooting and turning the ball over four times in his 31 minutes on the court.

The Grizzlies are the favorite in this one, with an expected 14.5-point margin of victory. The odds have been favorable for them against the spread on the road this season, even if it’s been tough sledding overall. They are 23-11 ATS in away games but only 44-24 all in all.

Memphis is now 46-22 while the Thunder sit at 20-46. A couple offensive stats to keep an eye on: Memphis ranks fourth in the league when it comes to points per game, with 114.3 on average. Less enviably, Oklahoma City has only been able to knock down 42.30% percent of their shots, which is the lowest field goal percentage in the league. So the cards are definitely stacked against Oklahoma City.
