What to Know

The Washington Wizards’ homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Indiana Pacers at 6 p.m. ET March 6 at Capital One Arena. Washington is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.

It was close but no cigar for the Wizards as they fell 117-114 to the Atlanta Hawks this past Friday. A silver lining for Washington was the play of small forward Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who shot 6-for-6 from downtown and finished with 28 points, five assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, Indiana was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap this past Friday as they fell 111-106 to the Detroit Pistons. Point guard Malcolm Brogdon put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 26 points along with five rebounds.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Washington is expected to win a tight contest Sunday. But bettors beware: they are only 8-16-2 against the spread when favored.
