2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational Full Field: PGA Tour’s Best Return to Bay Hill

Three weeks after Tiger Woods’s Genesis Invitational, the PGA Tour has the second of its three “legacy” signature events at Arnold Palmer’s place.

Bay Hill has challenged the PGA Tour’s best players since 1979, and they’ll all gather in Orlando, Fla., this week for a $20 million purse ($3.6 million to the winner) and a boosted FedEx Cup points stash (700 to the winner).

All nine of the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking who are eligible are competing. Austin Eckroat will make the drive up from Palm Beach Gardens, thanks to his win Monday at the Cognizant Classic. Min Woo Lee and Erik van Rooyen also played their way into the signature event by virtue of T2 finishes at PGA National.

Kurt Kitayama is the defending champion, with other past champions in the field including Scottie Scheffler (2022), Rory McIlroy (2018) and Jason Day (2016). Tiger Woods won eight times at Bay Hill, he’s not in the field but don’t be surprised to see a highlight or two of his top moments on the broadcast.

Like other legacy signature events at the Genesis and Memorial, the API will have a cut to low 50 and ties plus those within 10 shots of the lead. The winner gets the big payday plus a red cardigan sweater, one of the more unique garments in golf.

After Bay Hill virtually the entire field will head northeast to the Players Championship, the PGA Tour’s flagship event.
