What to Know

The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Miami Heat will face off at 8 p.m. ET March 12 at FTX Arena without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Miami will be strutting in after a win while the Timberwolves will be stumbling in from a loss.

The point spread favored Minnesota this past Friday, but luck did not. They came up short against the Orlando Magic, falling 118-110. Despite the defeat, Minnesota had strong showings from small forward Anthony Edwards, who had 25 points and five assists, and center Karl-Anthony Towns, who posted a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Towns has had at least 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the contest between Miami and the Cleveland Cavaliers this past Friday was still a pretty decisive one as Miami wrapped it up with a 117-105 victory at home. The Heat’s center Bam Adebayo did his thing and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 17 boards.
