Through 3 Quarters

The Detroit Pistons are giving their home crowd exactly what it was hoping to see. a victory is still up for grabs for either squad after three quarters, but they are up 92-88 over the Indiana Pacers

The Pistons have been riding high on the performance of power forward Marvin Bagley III, who has 16 points along with five rebounds. One thing to keep an eye out for is Isaiah Stewart’s foul situation as he currently sits at four.

Indiana has been led by point guard Malcolm Brogdon, who so far has 21 points and four assists.

Indiana hasn’t lost 86% of the games in which they were down heading into the final period this year, so a win here would be refreshing.

What to Know

After three games on the road, the Detroit Pistons are heading back home. The Pistons and the Indiana Pacers will face off in a Central Division battle at 7 p.m. ET Friday at Little Caesars Arena. The neutral point spread forecasts a close one for these two.

Things were close when Detroit and the Toronto Raptors clashed on Thursday, but Detroit ultimately edged out the opposition 108-106. Power forward Jerami Grant and shooting guard Cade Cunningham were among the main playmakers for Detroit as the former had 26 points and the latter dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards along with five assists.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Indiana ultimately got the result they were hoping for on Wednesday with a 122-114 win over the Orlando Magic. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the third quarter to overcome a 91-76 deficit. Indiana’s point guard Malcolm Brogdon did his thing and almost posted a triple-double on 31 points, 11 rebounds, and eight dimes.

The Pistons are now 16-47 while the Pacers sit at 22-42. A pair of stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Detroit has only been able to knock down 42.30% percent of their shots, which is the second lowest field goal percentage in the league. Indiana has experienced some struggles of their own as they have allowed their opponents to shoot 47.20% from the floor on average, which is the fifth highest shooting percentage allowed in the league. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
